I-Spy πŸ”

These two quilts will be going to Japan to help teach English to children in orphanages!!!
Quilt Info:
Gift for: JOEE for Language Learning, located in Japan
Size: 48" X 60"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Putty & Light Grey
Quilting: Sprawl ⤵️ from Longarm League
Quilting: Starlight ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilter
Interesting Info: JOEE stands for Joyful Opportunity English Education. Our missionary friend, Ruth Ingulsrud, has a non-profit ministry of teaching English to children in orphanages in Japan, in order to help make them future global leaders!!! She has been collecting several I-Spy quilts over several months and asked if I could come up with 2.

I cut my squares at 6 1/2" each, and sorted them out--light backgrounds and dark backgrounds. I alternated the dark background squares with white fabrics, and put together my first quilt:
Close-ups of many of the I-spy blocks: ⤵️
For backing, I used a Japanese owl print, with woodland animals down the middle!
My second quilt combines the light background I-spy blocks with black mottled squares: ⤵️
Here are some close-ups of the fun squares!!! ⤵️
The backing for this second quilt is a bamboo print, a sight that's very common in Japan!!!
Now, to get them to Japan and the children!!! ✈️
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
