Some close-ups of these beautiful Kaffe Fassett stars!!!
We chose wool batting for its light weight, warmth and beautiful stitch definition!!!
Missy found this extra-wide sateen backing that is the same print as her border fabric, but in a larger scale--perfect!!!
Beautiful, beautiful, Missy!!! Best wishes for the upcoming wedding!!!

Kaffe’s fabric is so busy, but this is the first quilt where the quilter toned down the busy movement of his fabrics by using a loud print and then adding a softer print - great use of color!!! Of course the quilting is great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! I'd love to see the quilts hanging at the reception; such a great idea! Missy makes so many pretty quilts, I'm sure it will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteLove the Kaffe stars…such a great quilt. I hope we get to see photo or two of the marvelous display of quilts at the wedding. Love that pantograph, too! It is a perfect one with this quilt top!
ReplyDeleteI think I am always commenting on the texture of the quilting, but this one is especially fantastic! I hope Missy will share a photo of the quilts hanging on the porch for the wedding, that would be a special treat to see.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Love all those colors.
Have a great day!
Such a gorgeous quilt and your quilting design finished it off so nicely. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful quilt. Gorgeous fabrics used in this one. And of course the quilting is amazing. Have a great week. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt! Well done! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with what Chopin said, above. Kaffe fabrics are always so busy that I avoid them, even though I like the colors. That said, this quilt turned out beautifully! I love the texture you created with the dense feather design that was enhanced with the use of wool batting. Lovely job. No doubt this quilt will add to the beauty of the wedding.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful quilt, I love it! It's quite tricky sometimes to use those Kaffe prints, but these certainly sparkle against the white background.
ReplyDeleteStars always look wonderful. Using Kaffe fabrics is a real hit. They are lovely. Such a gorgeous gift.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, what a lovely mix of colours and patterns.
