May's Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) is orange! I'm doing 6 x 6 postage stamp blocks this year, using 2 1/2" squares, mostly from leftovers bits as I'm cutting out quilts!!!
If you're wondering how I come out with an even number of blocks, I first count how many squares I have on hand, divide by 36, then I cut more squares from my scrap strip drawer to fill in. This time I had to cut 12 extra squares.
My 2023 RSC Block Count:
January: Dark/Bright Blues 12 blocks
February: Pink 8 blocks
March: Green 4 blocks
April: Purple 4 blocks
May: Orange 4 blocks
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

ReplyDeleteIt’s fun to look each month to see if I have any of the same prints that you have! This month, I do not! I’m surprised!
ReplyDeleteSo many fun little scraps to look at, Nancy! I love looking at them all close up. They're going to make beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of those squares! I didn't see more than just a couple of fabrics that were also in my own scraps. But orange isn't a color I use very much.
ReplyDeleteI recognized a couple of those orange scraps! This is going to be such a colorful quilt when finished! Can't wait to see it! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun selection of ORANGE fabric scraps, Nancy!!
ReplyDeleteI only have one of the oranges you have!. You make me want to sew up some of my scraps! I purposefully look for vintage fabrics at yard sales and estate sales so I have some oldies. I really should do something with them. I have enjoyed looking at them long enough! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great variety of scraps you have! So many fun pieces for your oranges.
ReplyDeleteLove these scraps! Especially the candy corn, and the one that says "Ken". I don't have any of these. Time to go shopping!
ReplyDeleteLove your variety of orange scraps! So fun looking at each of them, and isn't it amazing how many different fabrics there are? I recognized one (leaves on black?) from your second block.
ReplyDeletePretty orange blocks, and fun Fabrice! I share one with yours 😉
ReplyDeleteThanks you for sharing yours RSC blocks, and linking up!

ReplyDeleteNo surprise, but this color is one that makes me very happy! Florida and all... I couldn't find any of your prints that look familiar! It's apparent we have different stashed fabrics and scraps. I love that about quiltmaking. It's for everyone!
ReplyDeleteFun blocks using so many different prints. The more the merrier when it comes to scrappy! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love all yours oranges. Can't wait to see all the colors spliced together!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see all these vibrant colors together!! Love your blocks!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of orange fabrics. My orange yardage needs to be enhanced. Although in reality I'm trying not to buy fabric that doesn't have a specific use. Except I did just get a beautiful stack of fat quarters with all sorts of wonderful go with fabrics.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun blocks, Nancy!! While orange is not my favorite color, it has really grown on me over the years. I love these postage stamp blocks you've made!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of these colourful blocks. They look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSo, so many gorgeous orange fabrics you have, Nancy. Alas, I don't seem to have many orange fabrics in my stash.
