🌈RSC Orange🟧

May's Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) is orange! I'm doing 6 x 6 postage stamp blocks this year, using 2 1/2" squares, mostly from leftovers bits as I'm cutting out quilts!!!
Here are my individual blocks. Check them out and see if you have any of the same prints:
If you're wondering how I come out with an even number of blocks, I first count how many squares I have on hand, divide by 36, then I cut more squares from my scrap strip drawer to fill in. This time I had to cut 12 extra squares.

My 2023 RSC Block Count:

January:    Dark/Bright Blues    12 blocks
February:  Pink                           8 blocks
March:      Green                        4 blocks
April:         Purple                       4 blocks
May:         Orange                      4 blocks

See the colors for each month, and the Saturday link parties at Angela's blog: So Scrappy!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  4. Great use of those squares! I didn't see more than just a couple of fabrics that were also in my own scraps. But orange isn't a color I use very much.

  7. I only have one of the oranges you have!. You make me want to sew up some of my scraps! I purposefully look for vintage fabrics at yard sales and estate sales so I have some oldies. I really should do something with them. I have enjoyed looking at them long enough! :)

  13. No surprise, but this color is one that makes me very happy! Florida and all... I couldn't find any of your prints that look familiar! It's apparent we have different stashed fabrics and scraps. I love that about quiltmaking. It's for everyone!

  17. You have a lot of orange fabrics. My orange yardage needs to be enhanced. Although in reality I'm trying not to buy fabric that doesn't have a specific use. Except I did just get a beautiful stack of fat quarters with all sorts of wonderful go with fabrics.
