Farmall T-Shirt Quilt

Susan's friend asked her to make a t-shirt quilt for her father. This will make a wonderful Christmas present!
Quilt Info:
Maker: Susan
Pattern: BQ5 from Maple Island Quilts
Size: 73" x 91"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton--Request
Thread: Glide--Lead Grey
Pantograph: Wavy Bars ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting
Wavy Bars pantograph comes highly recommended for t-shirt quilts and modern quilts. I think it looks great on Susan's quilt!!!⤴️⤵️
If you live in Minnesota, Susan reports the best place to find farm tractor fabric is at The Quilting Grounds in Norwood Young America! She pieced her leftover chunks into a backing.⤵️
Susan used the "BQ5" pattern from Maple Island Quilts. It happens that Minnesota Quilters is doing a BQ5 challenge for the Minnesota Quilt Show in June, 2024: make the BQ5 quilt pattern your own and enter it in the challenge category!

Interesting Info: BQ stands for "Big Quilt"--the blocks finish at 18". Maple Island Quilts has a whole series of 10 different BQ patterns! Debbie Bowles, the designer of the brand, is a Minnesotan, living in the next town over from me!
Awesome t-shirt quilt, Susan!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  8. That's a fun pattern to use for a t-shirt quilt! Definitely more unique than the usual squares. Your quilting always finishes off your customer quilts perfectly, too, Nancy!

  9. Very lovely quilt! Great pattern for a tshirt quilt. The quilting you chose is a good one for a tshirt quilt--doesn't compete with the tshirts! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
