Rose at SomethingRoseMade14 sent me this letter square a while ago, along with a whole box of quilt goodies! Jan at CocoaQuilts got a letter "J" and recently posted her finished mini. Check out Jan's "J" here: https://www.cocoaquilts.com/2023/11/quick-projects-2.html Which inspired me to make mine!!!
Maker: Me!
Fabric: Studio Alphabet Panel by Marcia Derse
Size: 12" x 14"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Lilac
Pantograph: Boardwalk ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting
The purple border fabric came from Rose, too. I did the binding in a Tula Pink stripe, to brighten the whole thing up.⤵️
Now, what does that "N" stand for?!? These letters are from an alphabet panel by Marcia Derse, who says they are vintage photos and vintage journal entries. On closer look at the photo below, it is a statue of a gold mining prospector. I google the image and it looks to be an older version of two prospector statues in Jean, Nevada! So, our best guess is, N is for Nevada!
And of course, Rose sent it to me since N is for Nancy, as well!
These strips on the back came in that box of goodies from Rose, also!⤵️I had one spot, recently vacated, on my wall next to where I stitch! It's a fun new addition to my wall of inspiration and treasures!!!
Thank you, Rose!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

ReplyDeleteN for Nancy of course ;) Lovely mini, and your dense quilting is perfect. Perfect place in your quilting studio too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing!
Isn't that fun?! I love your quilting on it, and that fun striped binding. Your wall of quilts is wonderful, too. You had the perfect spot for N which is definite for Nancy!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing this "n" made into to an adorable mini! It is fun when we get to these little projects that delight us and remind us of the friends across the internet!
ReplyDeleteGreat N for Nevada or Nancy! I was thinking the purple with the design was some fabric from JoAnns I'd seen recently. But the lightbulb went off and I realized it was the quilting. It looks great on your mini. I was also trying to figure out what the long "pipe" was over your Bernina was until the lightbulb went off in my head... it's a light over the machine, right? Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun little project! It looks great on your wall.
