✨Twilight Creatures & the Bonnie Quilt

Here are the first two quilts I quilted this year!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Lynn
Panel: Twilight Creatures from GE Designs
Size: 47" x 53"
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting 80/20
Thread: Glide--Graphite
Pantograph: Interstellar ⤵️ from Sew Shabby Quilting
This is a large panel of super cute nocturnal woodland animals! The panel measures 36" x 44".
The quilting is a combo of swirly wind and stars!⤴️⤵️
Lynn added two borders and the top was done! Easy, fast AND cute!!!
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Quilter Bonnie
Pattern: The Bonnie Quilt from Kitchen Table Quilting
Jelly Roll: Berry Basket by April Rosenthal for Moda
Size: 51" x 68"
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting 80/20
Thread: Glide--White
Pantograph: Strawberry Champagne ⤵️ from Sew Shabby Quilting
This is "The Bonnie Quilt" made by Bonnie! Her DH chose this namesake quilt pattern for her while on vacation. She bought this cute jelly roll on sale, also on vacation!
The jelly roll is called "Berry Basket" so we went with "Strawberry Champagne" for quilting! If you look carefully, there are strawberries interspersed with swirls and bubbles in the quilting!
Bonnie always comes up with 108" backing for ease of quilting for her quilter, me!
Bonnie and I do a jelly roll quilt together every September on "Let's Sew a Jelly Roll Day". In 2024, life got in the way and we weren't able to get together. She did go ahead and she made this quilt top. I didn't make one myself. Time will tell if I'm able to get a jelly roll quilt made!
Fun, fun quilts, Lynn and Bonnie!!! Thanks everyone, for stopping by!!!

  3. Two pretty quilts! That Twilight Creatures panel is a neat one. I love the Bonnie quilt design - and the jelly roll it's made from, too. Your quilting always completes each quilt perfectly, Nancy!

  4. Both are lovely and that panto on the panel quilt is, well stellar! That blue backing really shows it off. You don't have to wait for the official Jelly Roll Day --- it's any day you decide to sew up one, LOL!

  6. I love these quilts. Lyn's twilight creatures is just perfect - it did not need a lot of piecing and is just plain fun. Love the stars and wind in the panto! I also love Bonnie's quilt - the basket log cabin is fun, and how considerate that she always has a 108" back for you! The strawberry champagne is a fun panto and looks great in the negative space.

  7. That nocturnal creatures panel is too precious. Once again you have elevated a simple quilt by selecting the perfect pantograph for the quilt. I can feel the wind, standing outside to admire the stars.

  12. I really like the Bonnie quilt -- and the jelly roll was perfect in it. Both quilting designs seem perfect to me. Hope you find the perfect jelly roll and pattern for either now or later!

  13. Both are lovely. Panels help to make the quilt come together very quickly. However, I always find that they aren't quite square and can be a challenge to get straight. Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.

  14. The quilting on the blue quilt made me think of winter wind blowing snow around. Great choice!!

  15. Both beautiful quilts! I think it is the first panel-quilt I like ;) and I had to thoroughly dissect the log cabin style one. Comparing this and the pattern... Trying to find out what is so intriguing. And fitting quilting as usual. So congrats on two awesome quilts! xo
