Here are three panel quilts I quilted this week, and the second and third might look familiar!
Quilt Info #1:
Susan chose Spring Thing for quilting. It gives great texture and motion, mimicking the dots and coconuts and moving letters!
Are you familiar with this children's book? I wasn't until Susan told me about it. It's a lively alphabet rhyming book, written 30 years ago.
This is the second and third time I've quilted this panel quilt this month! Lynn made the first one earlier this month. She had such a great response from the recipient that she ordered two more panels! The first one had Grunge for the backing. The second and third ones here have minky!

Quilt Info #2 and #3:
Maker: Lynn and Me!
Panel: Twilight Creatures from GE Designs
Size: 47" x 53"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Request
Thread: Glide--Graphite
Minky is always great for clearly seeing the quilting design! I used the same quilting design on all three, as it just looks so good on this Twilight Creatures quilt!!!
Lynn gave the third panel to me! I made it just like hers, plus I turned the minky back to the front for a soft edged binding, as you can see here.⤵️ For this baby quilt, I trimmed the minky at 1 1/4", folded it over twice and stitched.Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Those panels make such cute quilts. The minky looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely as always!
ReplyDelete"A told B and B told C, I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree! Chicka chicka boom boom, will there be enough room?" See, I can still recite some of that book, lol! It was a favorite kindergarten book way back when, and I heard a lot of it from the back seat when we were out driving around. Very cute panel and quilt!
ReplyDeleteI can also quote this book. :) Great panto choice on it!
DeleteOh I love Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. I can immediately hear it in my head - so lyrical. I read it to my kids back in the day. What an adorable quilt.
ReplyDeleteAs always, beautiful quilts with the added "frosting on the cake" quilting. Yes! Chicka Boom Boom is a fabulous book! Such a cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteHappy Haunting is adorable. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
ReplyDeleteI love that last panel!! And you did a wonderful job of bringing them to life.
ReplyDeletegreat quilts!! that panel is really cool!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a gorgeous panel. I keep up with Gudrun's videos and darn it all if she didn't convince me to sign up for the quarterly subscription! I've been in the monthly color blenders for a long while now. But darn the postage on that quarterly subscription is pricey.
ReplyDeleteOooh, pretty quilts! I love the swirls and loops on the first one, it looks like the quilting is dancing to the rhymes too! The Graphite thread and quilting look gorgeous on the panels, it's very elegant. Beautifully done, as usual! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteChicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom is a great book. Your quilting sure brings the life into those panels! How fun to have your own Twilight Creatures quilt!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteI love those quilts! Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom is a favorite of my toddler granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI do remember that book. Love seeing these finishes and thanks for linking up to TGIFF.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing the panel quilts that you work on.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is so colourful. I must have a look at the book.
The next two are gorgeous, just like the last time. The minky works so well on the backing.
Cute panels--cute quilts! Love these. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Such fun and pretty panels! And your quilting always brings out the best in them. I bet that minky is so soft. I picture some little kid rubbing the binding against their face and falling asleep.
