Pattern: Elsa from GE Designs
Size: 60" x 85"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select
Thread: Glide--Linen
Pantograph: Figure 8 ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting
This quilting is called "Figure 8", although it's actually an undulating figure 8. It's the same design as one of the older Tula Pink fabrics I used, top row, third triangle over, also bottom row, second triangle in.⤵️All the prints are Tula Pink designs, new and old!
I had leftover strips of Tula Pink stripes that I used for a scrappy striped binding.⤵️
You can see the quilting clearly on this part of the backing.⤵️
I pieced together some yardage from my collection in greens and blues for the backing.⤵️
Here's a close-up of those four prints used on the back, all Japanese.⤵️
The background print is a Grunge.⤵️ I am really enjoying making all these quick quilts!!!
We've done the first five quilts now, all in the top row.⤵️
Here are my first five!⤵️ Actually seven, since I made two versions each of Lilo and Skyler.
The cutting instructions for the next quilt, Gigi, are released today, so you know what I'll be doing!!!Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

I love the results you can get with such a simple design - this is beautiful, Nancy! And the fact that Elsa is made with leftovers from the Ana quilt is a bonus, too. Those blues and greens make such a pretty color combination!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful way to show off Tula prints (I just love using her stripes for binding)! The elongated figure 8 quilting is fantastic, and fun that it echoes one of the prints. Congratulations on the beautiful quilt finishes, thanks for linking up, and have fun with the next one!
ReplyDeleteElsa is gorgeous, Nancy and how fun to see the sister quilts together. They are beauties.
ReplyDeleteI love Elsa, just a great use of the leftover triangles. I have a panto similar to that one, and have never used it...but I will now that I see yours...it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSister quilts - LOVE it!! and you are rocking these!
ReplyDeleteLove your finishes. You really are rocking these simple quilts! Elsa is such a great way to use leftover triangles and the finish really does look frozen! Who knew Tula prints would combine so well??? Obviously, you did! --TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteI love when you can make something from the cutoffs of another quilt. Elsa is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteElsa turned out beautifully. It's nice to find a way to use those cut offs before they get lost in the scrap bins. Enjoy your new project.
ReplyDeleteWow - this proves that the leftovers can be just as good as the original. Beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like pieced backings.
