Grace and Peace Quilting: A Work of Art 🖼️

Regina finished two more quilts on her to-do list!!! The first is a total work of art!!!

Regina's granddaughter went to an elementary school that studied many artists starting in kindergarten! All of the student's artwork could be seen online and ordered in a number of different mediums, like mugs, or as Regina took advantage of, on fabric!!!! These are some of her granddaughter's work from kindergarten through 3rd grade.

In the middle of the quilt is a beautiful self-portrait, Grade 2, as well as a photo of her granddaughter with her dog, then bottom, left--Glowbots, Grade 2, and a photo of a clay heart she made, Grade 3!⤵️

Regina created the layout herself and chose teal batik as sashing. She added the titles and school grade to each fabric square. Such a neat option made available by the school!!!

Regina's granddaughter is 12 years old now. Regina will add binding and a hanging sleeve so this work of art can hang in her son's office!!!

This was a quilt kit Regina bought in Texas. She was especially drawn to the leafy print in the border and the blue print on the far right, below, and wanted a leaf motif for quilting. "New Growth 2" pantograph was a perfect choice with its combo of leaves and swirls!!!
