Lynn has had a very productive August!!! Here are 7 quilts I quilted for her this month:
Quilt Info #1:
Panel: Mount Rainier National Park
Size: 58" x 68"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select
Thread: Glide--Putty
"Malachite" resembles topography and looks great on all national park quilts!!!
It might be difficult to see, but the backing ⤵️ is different park symbols. Very appropriate!Lynn made this as a gift for her friends in the state of Washington--perfect!
Quilt Info #2 and #3:
Maker: Lynn
Panel: Twilight Creatures by Natalia Juan Abello for Riley Blake Designs
Size: 47" x 53"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Request
Thread: Glide--Marlin
"Interstellar" is my go-to quilting for this panel. It looks like a windy starry night!
Lynn gave me two panels and one big piece of minkee to back them both. It was a bit of a wrestle, but I managed to quilt them one after the other!
Quilt Info #4:
Maker: Lynn
Pattern: Steamy Windows Supersized from GE Designs
Size: 39" x 48"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% White Cotton

Look at this fabulous minkee she found for the backing!!!
Her plan is to turn the back to the front, which will make a very pretty binding!!!

This quilting treatment is called "Magic Melt Aways".
I quilted this one with "Interstellar".

Wow that's a lot of quilts! And all so very pretty. Wow on that pretty minkee! I love how your thoughtful quilting simply enhances the quilts and never overshadows them. I'm wondering how in the world you wrestled those two quilts and the backing from the floor onto your frame!
ReplyDeleteWow she has been productive! I love seeing the various quilting motifs you choose for each project. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Wow! So many nice quilts, and the quilting looks great, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteDid she let you pick the quilting design or did she just know what she wanted? Either way they are perfect;)
ReplyDeleteLynn was very productive with some darling quilts. Wonderful quilting too, Nancy. Woo Hoo on getting the Twilight Creature quilts quilted one after the other. !
ReplyDeleteLynn was productive! I love each of the quilts and the choice of the pantographs. I think interstellar definitely needs to join my collection of pantographs. I can't imagine wrangling the two panels on the minky but you did a fabulous job!
ReplyDeleteYou've had a productive month, too, getting all of Lynn's quilts quilted. I really like seeing the different quilting motifs with each top. The quilting designs complement the tops beautifully, especially the Malachite topographical one.
ReplyDeleteSorry, don't know anyone having triplets, let alone all boys. Our daughter does have 3 sons, but they range in age from 14 to 18. They felt like triplets when they were young. :) Love the Interstellar pantograph. I'm always looking for ways to quilt skies.
ReplyDeleteLynn was busy - but so were you! These are gorgeous. I really love the panels, and all of your quilting is stunning, you're so talented!
ReplyDeleteLynn has been busy and thanks to you, she will have finishes in no time! Your quilting brings each project to life! Beautiful work!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteLynn has been extremely busy, and so have you with the quilting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful collection of quilts. I do enjoy seeing the different quilting pantographs for each one.
And that blue and white backing on the last quilts is quite gorgeous, too.
Well done to both of you.
What a collection of beautiful quilts! Lynn did a great job piecing all these pretty quilts, I love the panels and the soft and cozy baby quilts. Your quilting is fabulous, you have chosen and quilted the perfect patterns for each one! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and linking up.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts. I love the "Interstellar" panto! My cousins daughter and husband are having triplet boys I've been told. There's excitement in the air there. They have an 18month old daughter, too.
ReplyDeleteYou and Lynn were very busy! Love the quilts and how you quilted them. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
