I so enjoyed quilting swirls on Missy's two quilts that I decided to keep the swirl quilting going! These two quilts were made by my sister, Quilter Bonnie, and she lets me pick the pantos!

Then she backed her baby quilt with this cute teddy bear flannel print!⤵️ Flannel makes such a nice backing for baby quilts!!!You may recognize this pattern--it's my favorite Honey Bouquet quilt pattern from Villa Rosa Designs. I've made many such baby quilts myself. You can find the latest on my blog, here.

Well of course she trusts you to pick the panto because you always know what looks great! Nice work ladies;)
ReplyDeleteDoes Bonnie live close? I love her quilts and especially that first one. What are the fabrics for that one? The second one is rather breathtaking - those bright pretty colors! The swirls are perfection.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I love those swirls! Perfect quilting motif for these quilts. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss. https://www.inquiringquilter.com/questions/2025/09/17/wednesday-wait-loss-450
ReplyDeleteSwirls quilting is so much fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWell these are just precious! Beautiful job by both of you. What a blessing to enjoy this hobby with your sister.
ReplyDeletePretty quilts, and I love that swirly quilting design!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts again! That baby quilt pattern works so well with so many fabrics. Gorgeous swirls.
ReplyDeleteThe colours in the runner are very appealing. More lovely swirls.
I haven't checked in for a while to see how everything is going at your place?
The swirls look great on both of those, Nancy! I love the bears on both sides of Bonnie's baby quilt and the pretty rich color in the runner. Sweet projects!
ReplyDeleteThe swirls look wonderful on both.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found a longarm quilter here who can quilt my quilts.
You did a great job, Nancy. And I'm happy to see the beautiful quilts.
Hug from me
Your sister has a great eye for color, and your swirls just enhance those quilts. So lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI often ponder whether to echo piecing lines or contrast. The swirls and square contrast works very well.
ReplyDeleteGosh, those swirls are so perfect! They provide great texture!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteYou two did a great job! Lovely quilts, and the swirl panto is perfect. Both patterns are great for showing these beautiful fabrics too. Thank you for sharing your lovely work and linking up.
ReplyDeleteBonnie's quilts are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love quilting swirls!!! Your sister has made some very pretty quilts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to TGIFF!
Looking good! I'm a fan of swirls too, especially when the lovely curves contrast nicely on an angular-pieced quilt top. I just quilted similar swirls on a scrappy donation quilt, though my swirls are definitely not as uniformly perfect as yours are. I think it's wonderful that you and your sister share a love of quilting. That's precious.
ReplyDeleteBonnie’s quilts are so lovely. I immediately recognized Honey Bouquet and love that you used Basic Swirl on both quilts. The mini yellow brick road is a great one to remember. It is a nice use of scraps from a quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat was me…not signed in right as we are traveling!
DeleteBoth are nice. I like the reddish/teal one just a bit more. Is it a table runner? Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.
ReplyDeleteGreat swirls - so fun !
ReplyDeleteThese are both so fun. I really love the bright colors in the runner. Your quilting is awesome, as always! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
