I have three quilts by two quilters, to share today!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Pattern: Olympia Mystery Quilt from Cotton Cuts, Fall 2021
Size: 72" x 72"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Lilac
Beautiful batiks!!!
Ann and her sister picked out several pantos beforehand. Then I helped narrow the choice down. Both of them thought the curved quilting lines give this quilt a soft, modern look, and I agree!
A beautiful backing to go with the top!!!⤵️
Stunning!!! Ann plans on gifting this quilt to her sister's friend.
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Ann
Fabrics: Abandoned 2 from Tim Holz
Pattern: Waverly from Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 64" x 80"
Batting: Hobbs Black 80/20
Thread: Glide--Marlin
Ann used a Villa Rosa Designs quilt pattern to make this quilt. She designed the border herself, to enlarge the quilt--awesome border!!!⤵️
We narrowed Ann's panto choices down to Modern Meander. This quilt is going to another friend of her sister's, a man who survived a farm accident. We thought this panto suited a guy quilt best.Perfect choice for backing!!! ⤵️ Great color coordination with the top!!!
Wonderful use of a black background by Ann!! A real vibrant quilt!Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Karen
Pattern: Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 68" x 68"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Lightening
She added in a few blender flannels to round out her quilt.
In Karen's first try making this quilt, she decided there was too much yellow. So she reined it in and rearranged her quilt top quite a bit until she came up with this arrangement that made her much happier!
In keeping with the paisley theme, I quilted it with "Easy Paisley". I think the name of this panto is a bit deceiving though as it is quite a dense pattern, not exactly what I would call "easy", although it is quite beautiful!Karen bought a total of 5 yards of her favorite flannel fabric so she was able to feature the remaining yardage on the back to make this a reversible quilt!⤵️
Very pretty and soft, Karen!!! A perfect quilt for snuggling up with this coming winter in Minnesota!
Thank you Ann and Karen, for sharing your quilt inspiration here!!! And thank you quilters for stopping by!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
