What pretty blocks. I love the mushroom and floral fabric on the back, I have a small piece of that one.
ReplyDeleteAs I scrolled down I kept thinking "this is my favorite", but they are all so pretty. The fabrics are spectacular. I was going to ask you if the last pattern was complicated - glad you mentioned they are printed! You are so nice to promote your customers quilts with such beautiful photos and comments.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilts in all sizes and all patterns! Tabiz orchid is one of my favorite threads—it often works as a neutral as well as a purple. I’m glad the first quilt was able to be rescued from bleeding. It’s such a cool design!
ReplyDeleteMore and more finishes! I'm overwhelmed. Lovely designs and colors. Your days are full of bright and happy, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI would not characterize my days as happy and bright. I am still very much in grief after the unexpected passing of my beloved husband 4 months ago. GriefShare has been helpful for me--a 13 week group course on the aspects of grief and how one can navigate it. In GriefShare, they say it takes 6-9 months to get over the initial shock of losing your loved one. I'm still in the initial shock phase and cry every day. Then 3-5 years before things begin to feel normal again. The loss is there through life. Quilting does give me something constructive to do with my life--quilting for others, for myself and for charities. My real strength comes from my faith and being grounded in the Bible.
DeleteOh Nancy, your work is incredibly beautiful, and I'm glad it helps ease your pain a little. I think of you often and can only imagine what your daily life is like. Thank you for continuing to delight us with the beautiful quilts you share. I love the Figure 8 panto, simple and effective! Thank you for sharing the link about saving a bleeding quilt too, and linking up. Warm hugs, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one with purple then I saw more purple as I scrolled. I never thought of purple as a favorite color but I liked all of them.
ReplyDeleteI wondered how you have been doing. I hope your grief group continues to help you as you adjust to life without your sweet husband. How did Lynn know her top bled and did she treat it before you quilted it? That is a story in itself! All are beautiful finishes. Those printed blocks are wonderful!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteLynn was steam pressing her quilt top and it bled from the steam. So she tried washing it and it bled all over. Then she let it sit for a year or so. Finally she tried the SaveMyBleedingQuilt method and it worked. Then she had me quilt it.
DeleteGREAT batch of quilts, Nancy. Your posts are always so inspiring. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThese quilts are beautiful. The teal stars fade into the background on #3, but I enjoyed discovering them.
ReplyDeleteThat purple and turquoise star quilt is a beautiful design! I always appreciate the info you give on each quilt, whether it's your work or a client's. Your quilting always adds so much, too. Sending you a quilt hug, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing all the quilts and the quilting designs you chose for them. I especially like the purple and teal planned scrappy stars for the baby quilt. The purples advance while the teals recede. Genius! Sending hugs your way today.
ReplyDeletePurple and turquoise! I've never thought of that combination, but it is really pretty! Such a variety of lovely quilts!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful collection of quilts.
ReplyDeleteThe two wall hanging are lovely, and now I need to read the " save my bleeding quilt" info!
The 3 larger quilts have great designs but I am especially fascinated with stars in Sunnyside. The darker ones obviously stand out but them you notice the secondary star patter. Gorgeous.
And a pre-cut quilt kit. That is interesting!
Once again there are so many beautiful quilts on your blog. I love seeing Lynn’s “Back Home” quilt as it was a fun to make and fun to be reminded of how successful that quilt is. Her Rita quilt will be a fabulous table topper and I love Windy Oak with it. Ann’s Sunnyside is right up my alley with purples and teals. It is a fun scrap pattern, which has me thinking. Barn Star Flower was an interesting choice for the quilt and it works really well. Piazza is lovely and Paper Blooms is really fun with it and that agate backing is so fabulous. I love the Paula Nadelstern fabrics in Ann’s Kaleidescope Cache - just beautiful. It is really a simply pattern with fabulous fabric enhanced by the Ikat panto.
ReplyDeleteAnother group of great quilts with great quilting. I'm curious if GriefShare is an online group. I have a friend in your position (although it was expected at some point) who could use a grief group. She was going to one and it fell apart. I assume she meant that folks quit going. I'd be happy to share an online suggestion with her.
ReplyDeleteThe quilts are all beautiful, but I love how you are displaying them especially the first photo of the post! Hugs to you, so glad you are getting some help with grief, I can only imagine.
ReplyDeleteMy husband was an avid stamp collector, so I was excited to use that postage stamp frame. It's from the app, Ribbet.
DeleteFabulous quilts! I especially love the one with Kaffe Fabrics. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
