The Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for May is orange. My RSC goal this year is to whittle down my stack of 5" scrap charm squares by turning them into baby quilts, 9 squares across by 11 squares down, therefore "99 Charms" quilts. Here are the two I made for May.
Pattern: 99 Charms
Size: 41" x 50"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Apricot Blush
These are all charm squares with orange in there somewhere.
The backing is 5 strips of children's flannel. I like how that came together! ⤴️
My Quilt Info #2:
Pattern: 99 Charms
Size: 41" x 50"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Apricot Blush
Another fun geometric quilting design, Porch Rail. It happens that this digital quilting design is also free with signing up for The Quilting Mill's newsletter.
More flannel backing. I do like flannel on the back of baby quilts.
My RSC 99 Charms quilt count for 2026:

May--🧡🧡
My younger daughter was home recently. She arranged 17 baby quilts on my design wall for me--what a great help! They're labeled by rows and ready for chain piecing. These two quilts are part of her work.
I'm sending 30 baby quilts to Cambodia this summer, via Japan and the mission board my husband & I worked with. At this time I have 25 baby quilts finished, 8 tops pieced and 6 groups that need piecing. I think I have it covered.
Check out the Rainbow Scrap Challenge every Saturday at SuperScrappy.
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
