On Tuesday, June 16th, I shipped my 30 baby quilts! Their first stop is in Washington state, then Canada, and on to Tokyo, Japan, where they will be displayed in memory of my husband. Their final destination will be to families in Cambodia this fall. I felt great joy to finish, pack, pray for and see these quilts off!
These are the final three quilts of the 30, finished last week. Every quilt has a story, so let me tell you about these.

This is another quilt made from two different, but color coordinated, charm packs from Joyfully_Tracie!
Here are a few details on the packing, in case you ever need to pack and ship quilts. Vacuum-sealed storage bags did the trick for me! I bought them at the Dollar Tree and put 3 quilts per bag (mostly!). I was able to get 22 quilts in a large, sturdy "Chewy" box, if you're familiar with those, and the other 8 quilts in a smaller box.
"Pirate Ship" website is the place to get the best deal on shipping. It sounds suspicious, but it has legitimate discounted shipping rates. UPS was one-half to one-third the price of USPS. It takes a few more days (3, in this case) but well worth the savings.
My daughter took this photo on May 8th, with the quilts I had finished at that time, draped over my longarm.

I think your daughter has a real flair for layouts! I love all 3 quilts and am just fascinated with how beautiful all the diverse charms look so pretty together. Love the photo of you with your quilts. What's next for you?

Of course, your quilts are gorgeous and I love the surprise glow in the dark fabric! Fun that you got a picture with them all. What a blessing for this ministry to have these quilts.

I love reading the stories of each quilt, and how your daughter found appropriate extras in your scraps—sounds like your scraps are like mine, plentiful, which is how we like it right? My post office lady bought a vacuum sealer thingie that she uses to pack clothes for travel, smart to do this for shipping quilts.
