Irish ☘️ Change #3

This is Missy's 3rd Irish Change quilt! Scroll to the end to see what her first two look like.
Quilt Info:
Maker: Missy
Pattern: Irish Change from Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Fabrics: Bonheur du Jour from French General
Size: 105" x 95"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Cream
Pantograph: Baptist Fan ⤵️ from Three Sisters
Baptist Fan quilting is such a classic!
Missy made this from fabrics and scraps she had on hand.
This quilt is wider than it is long. Missy sized it this way to fit the bed she is making it for.
This toile 108" backing fabric is from Laundry Basket Quilts, another favorite of Missy's. ⤴️ With the quilt being 105" wide, Missy added extra to both sides of her 108" backing, to accommodate the 8" extra needed for longarm quilting. I was able to stay inside the seams and the extra was all trimmed off in the end.
Many of these prints are French General from Moda Fabrics.
Missy was going for a calm, unified look. She has definitely accomplished that!
Now, below is Missy's first Irish Change quilt from July 20, 2020. ⤵️
And here is Missy's second Irish Change quilt from December 13, 2021. ⤵️
So fun to see all three of them in a row!!! Beautiful work, Missy!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. Wow that is a big quilt - does it take a long time to quilt it? I like that pattern. How nice to have all pretty fabrics on hand! The other two quilts are beautiful too.

  14. You and Melissa make awesome quilts. I design my quilts for my bed to be wider than long also. You picked the perfect quilting design for that quilt. It is a stunning quilt.
