A New Handbag 👜

Yay! I made a new handbag! One of the perks of working at my LQS, Quilt Cove, is that I can take classes for free. Last Saturday I joined a handbag class and made this. I had it partially done at the end of class. I went home and sewed until midnight to finish it:
The pattern is The Essential Tote by Around the Bobbin:

Our store sample is made using fussy-cut Quilt Minnesota fabrics:
One of the neat points about this pattern is that it has a zipper, for a more secure handbag:

Yup, I'm loving my new handbag! The main fabric is "Naomi Collection" from Yuzawaya in Tokyo. The base is Grunge. The lining is Jen Kingwell pin dots:

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  4. Nicely done, such pretty fabrics you chose for the top. I had not heard about 'Bag it' before. I might just have to join since it runs for a long time.
