On Ringo Lake: Clue 1㊌

This is my second year to sew along with Bonnie Hunter and her
(free!) Black-Friday-to-New-Years mystery quilt. You can see my finished En Provence from last year's mystery here at the very end.

I'm using the colors she suggested, because I've never made a quilt out of this color combo before. I'm covering all the stash--old, new and Japanese.

This year's colors:
Aquas
Warm and toasty chocolate browns
Coral to salmon to melons
White to cream to beige neutrals

Bonnie visited us here in Minnesota last August! After a trunk show and classes, she visited relatives in Spicer, Minnesota on Ringo Lake. These are her two photos borrowed from her site that inspired this quilt.

The first clue is to make nine patches:

This is going to be great!!! Thank you, Bonnie!

Half the fun of this mystery quilt is the community. Check out everyone's progress on Bonnie's link-up page here, near the bottom.

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  5. Looking good! That's cool that your state inspired this quilt. Did you go to her class? I've never met her in person, but have made 5 or 6 mystery quilts and always had fun.

  11. Looking fantastic already. I've changed the colours, but not totally. I didn't have aqua and brown, so I took blue and black.

Can you please add a link back to the link-up post on my blog http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2017/11/on-ringo-lake-mystery-monday-link-up.html and remove the unit count from your post? I have respectfully asked that we not share piece counts, unit counts and unit sizes through social media. Thank you. :)
