Charity Quilts 6, 7, 8 and 9

My sister, niece and I delivered 13 baby quilts to Jack's Basket recently, an NPO that celebrates babies with Down Syndrome. This is my niece, Gretchen, with Carissa, the director of Jack's Basket and mother of Jack.

Here are six of the baskets ready to be delivered, full of fun items to bless and encourage the new parents:

As you may recall, I'm joining Laura at Slice of Pi Quilts in making 52 charity quilts this year. My sister, cousin and small group are joining me in making baby quilts for Jack's Basket this year, too!

Here are my quilts 6, 7, 8 and 9, for the month of February:

The quilt pattern we're using here is "Simple Gifts" by the Modern Quilt Studio, found in the booklet "Fat Quarter Love".

Quilt 6 is quilted with "Verve":

Quilt 7 is quilted with Fern Meander:

Quilt 8 is quilted with Oma's Garden:

Quilt 9 is quilted with Slick:

Here's one I quilted for my sister, using Butterfly Garden:

And another one made by my sister, quilted with a loopy meander. Aren't the teddy bears in boats sew cute!

Look for the charity quilt link up at Slice of Pi Quilts blog on the last day of every month this year and share your charity projects there!
