Here are four more quilts for Jack's Basket, where they celebrate babies born with Down syndrome by delivering a basket full of newborn goodies to the new parents. Quilt 10 is quilted with "Heatwave", a free design from Urban Elementz:
Susan has been busy with these two great scrap quilts! This first one is a Bonnie Hunter pattern called Garden Party. Bonnie is coming out with a new date keeper book with this same quilt on the cover! You can see it here, and see the resemblance between these two scrap quilts.
The quilting we decided on is Deja Vu, using gold thread:
Wendy always makes beautiful, modern quilts. I got to quilt two quilts for her this week. This first one is a gift for a very lucky baby, Everly, born last December. The pattern is "Out of Bounds" from Missouri Star Quilt Company. It was featured in a Quilting Quickly magazine, as well as being featured in a video tutorial here. The finished size is 53" X 75":
Susie would be the first to say this is not a typical baby quilt. She made this top for a couple having their first baby, a sweet boy. The mom-to-be is a Minnesotan currently living in New York, and the fabrics are Minnesota themed fabrics. The quilt pattern is Nova by Gudrun Erla. You can see my version of this pattern here.
Mary brought me two quilt tops to be longarmed. This first is a super cute Christmas table runner. I love how the trees in the middle rows share trunks!
"Spring Thing" was requested--it just looks festive on Christmas quilts!
Tracy asked me to quilt two quilts for her. The first is this adorable Christmas tree made from a jelly roll of modern Christmas prints. The pattern is "#1 Pine Tree Strip Quilt" from The Cottage Rose. She had this green & white dot on red for the backing:
Julie asked for some "spring-like" quilting on this quilt top of hers. "Oma's Garden" quilting is exactly that, spring-like. March has arrived, and we here in Minne"snow"ta are ready for Spring!
