Wendy always makes beautiful, modern quilts. I got to quilt two quilts for her this week. This first one is a gift for a very lucky baby, Everly, born last December.
The pattern is "Out of Bounds" from Missouri Star Quilt Company. It was featured in a Quilting Quickly magazine, as well as being featured in a video tutorial here. The finished size is 53" X 75":
The quilting Wendy requested is "Oma's Garden" and has such variety and long repeats that it almost looks like freehand:
Wendy pieced together leftovers for this great backing. All of the fabrics in this quilt are batiks, except for the solid grey background on the front.
Wendy's second quilt is another gift, this time for a young man turning 21. The pattern is called "Take Five--Take 5 minutes, choose 5 fabrics, and in 5 hours you will have made this quilt!"
The quilting is "Labyrinth":
For backing on this quilt she chose the dark blue print from her original 5.
Great job, Wendy! Keep on blessing others with your quilts and talents!!!
Grace & peace!!! ~Nancy
