Tracy asked me to quilt two quilts for her. The first is this adorable Christmas tree made from a jelly roll of modern Christmas prints. The pattern is "#1 Pine Tree Strip Quilt" from The Cottage Rose.
She had this green & white dot on red for the backing:
I quilted a similar quilt recently for Susie. You can find Susie's here. "Spring Thing" quilting looked so good on Susie's quilt that I recommended it for Tracy's quilt, also.
Tracy also had this Cherrywood Fabrics top that she put together from a kit. You can find it and many beautiful Cherrywood kits here.
I custom quilted it by first outlining the leaves and adding veins, then swirling the background.
They are both beautiful, Tracy!!! Great job!
Grace & peace!!! ~Nancy

I love Tracy's quilts. The Christmas tree quilt is so cute and the Cherrywood quilt is stunning! Your quilting complements them both so nicely as usual!

Well she is sure ahead of the game for Christmas this year! Nice job on the CW leaves-I have done one of those for myself and just love it!
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are so cool, and your quilting just finishes them so well! I took a quick peek at the Cherrywood kits, had to leave quickly because they were oh so tempting! Nice work, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful! I'm impressed that Tracy is already making a Christmas quilt. I especially love the quilting on the leaves quilt, and my, whatever color thread that is, it blends perfectly across all those colors, it looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteNancy they both turned out beautifully. I may need to make one of those tree quilts.
ReplyDeleteNancy, the quilting really enhances both of these quilts. That tree quilt is quite adorable, although not sure where I would hang one!
ReplyDeleteLove BOTH of those!! Can't tell you how confused I was to see a Christmas quilt at this time is year, though. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love the panto on the first quilt and I adore the leaves and the swirls in the background on the second quilt <3 so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are both so lovely, and so different! Both the piecing and the quilting showcase the talents of both of you ladies :)
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts and the quilting on each are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these - quite different in styles but very well executed!
