August Minikins Challenge ✅

Sara at Sew Sweetness is having a different challenge each month with her Minikins patterns. The Minikins are 12 patterns of small bags, with step-by-step videos, that are fun to make, use and give as gifts.

The Minikins challenge for August is the Morsel Lunch Bag.

I chose to make my Morsel Lunch Bag out of a chopstick print, a tribute to the 24 years I spent in Japan.

I followed the alternate idea of using Pellon Insul-Fleece on the lining to make it insulated. Overall that is a great idea. But the lining handles would not have needed the Insul-Fleece as the handles are not inside the bag and it added unnecessary bulk.

These Minikins are fun, fun, fun! You can find sew many variations of the Morsel Lunch Bag at Sara's link-up here. Mine is number 78. Check it out to see all the Morsel Lunch Bags made for the August challenge!

  1. That is perfect fabric for another perfect bag and finish. You are right about the handles, but I suspect it will work just fine.

  4. Another cute bag! Love the chopsticks fabric (now if I could just get the hang of using chopsticks).

  5. This is wonderful Nancy! Good tip on not needing the Insul-fleece on the handle section. Thanks for the link - there may be one of these for my grandson....
