๐Ÿ‘œ The Essential Tote ๐Ÿ‘œ Number 4 ㆕

Wendy of Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life, and I had a sewing day together and we each made The Essential Tote! I'm making the blue & white handbag for my Mom for Christmas. Wendy is making the sunny yellow version as a tote. She is going to add leather handles. Here's where we were at by mid-afternoon:

I finished later that evening--my finished handbag, surrounded by a few of my Dad's woodcarvings:

Here's a peek at the zipper and the inside pockets:

Here are my Essential Totes, numbers 1, 2, and 3:

And number 4:

Bag Info:
Pattern: The Essential Tote, by Around the Bobbin
Fabric: Canvas from Hobby Lobby--they have a great selection! "Pleather" from SR Harris, our local fabric warehouse.
Interfacing: Soft & Stable, and Shape-Flex woven fusible interfacing
Quilting: Feather Frond
Thread: Glide--White

This is a great pattern, whether you want to make a tote, like Wendy did, or add the optional zipper, for a handbag with added security. I highly recommend it!

Watch Wendy's blog for her big reveal!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
