▦ Granny Square Baby Quilt ▦

We found this mural in Frogtown, St. Paul, Minnesota:
Quilt Info:
Maker: Nancy of Grace and Peace Quilting
Pattern: Scrappy Granny Squares Quilt by Quilty Love--a free tutorial
Size: 38" X 38"
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting--100% Cotton Request
Thread: Glide--Creme
Quilting: Mike's Swoosh
Interesting Info: I made this as a sew along with 4 of my quilt blogging friends. Mine is made from leftover 2 1/2" strips from a recent quilt (a gift that I will blog about after it is given). The 4 X 4 setting is a great size for Jack's Basket, where I'll be donating this baby quilt. They are currently in need of "blankets" (these can be quilts or knit or crochet afghans), burp cloths and booties for the baskets that they deliver to bless parents of newborns with Down syndrome.
I'm loving this edge-to-edge design, Mike's Swoosh!!!
The backing is this starry print:
We delivered 10 quilts to Jack's Basket back in June. Jack's Basket is local here, in St. Paul.
Imagine my surprise and delight when this beautiful baby girl showed up on one of my quilts on their Instagram feed recently! Follow Jack's Basket on Instagram for a parade of sweet baby photos, some on quilts!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  2. A beautiful quilt for a lovely charity. Nice that you live close enough to deliver them.
Thank you for sharing this pattern link. I might try it for my leader/ender squares I sew up. That is sweet to see your quilt in use with such a cute baby girl. Seeing your quilts in use always kind of stirs your heart, doesn't it?
