RSC💙February

I'm working on a nine-patch and snowball quilt for the RSC in 2025, inspired by Saija's quilt, here. Saija was inspired by Blue Elephant Stitches, here!!!
Blue is the color for February. I am trying to keep it light and bright, like Saija's quilt.
I have a lot of indigo blues in my scraps, as I lived in Japan, the land of blue and white, for 24 years! The indigo blues are too dark for this project. I have another project in mind, inspired by another blogger, for those indigo blue 2 1/2" squares. Stay tuned!
Check out these close-ups of my 9-patches and let me know if you have any of the same prints!
I also have my blue 2 1/2" strips. Those will come later this month as jelly roll race quilts, hopefully!

Linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge at So Scrappy on Saturday.

  5. Oh yes - I see some blue fabrics that have also been in my stash. Can't beat a 9-patch - those look awesome.

  6. Lovely nine-patches! I love snowballs and nine-patches together in any form, but the two you linked are particularly bright and airy. Great post!

  8. Lovely blues, and I don't have a single one in my stash. In fact, blue is the color I use least, so my stash of prints is nearly nil. I'm happy for you to have found a good use for yours though!

  9. Lots of beautiful blues in those 9-patches. I love the look of Saija's quilt and it seems to be a great use of scraps.

  10. Pretty 9-patch blocks, love your blue fabrics! I don't see familiar fabrics shared with my stash, all yours are unique! Love the ombre effect too.
    Thank you for sharing!

  11. Pretty blues and I do so one or two I may have had...a swirly one and one with a dot/dash sort of pattern! Or we had it in the store and I think I had it!

  13. Lots of different blues playing in your blocks. Maybe next year I'll make 16 patches... or not. Too early to make up my mind. Enjoy your week.
