Koby, the 2nd Jeep Quilt

I recently split a Jeep fat quarter bundle from several years back into two color ways. Two weeks ago I shared my first Jeep quilt in the pink and green color way, link here. Today I have my second Jeep quilt to share, in the blue and grey color way!!!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Koby from GE Designs
Fabrics: "Adventure Awaits: J is for Jeep" from Riley Blake Designs
Size: 59" x 80"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Deluxe
Thread: Glide--Marlin
Pantograph: It's a Jeep Thing ⤵️ from Three Sisters Fabric
I'm glad to use this Jeep quilting once more! It's a heart with the trademark 7-slot Jeep grille and a heartbeat! I used a darker thread so the quilting stands out a bit more.
Here are the fabrics I started with--12 are from the Jeep fat quarter bundle and the other 6 are blenders from my collection:
I picked the Koby quilt pattern by GE Designs for it's clean, simple lines that let the fabrics shine.
The top row, third from the right fabric, below ⤵️, is a favorite of mine--Jeeps driving here and there through the mud, rivers, desert and mountains!
The 5-point star with a broken circle around it is a Jeep "invasion star", used by the US military on their vehicles.
Here's the bottom right corner of my quilt, including my label ⤵️. I get them from Dutch Label Shop. And a look at my binding. I cut it 3" wide this time, a little wider than usual.
I put flannel on the back of this quilt ⤵️, also, though I didn't find the fun Jeep flannel like I did on my first Jeep quilt. I thought this flannel was fun though, with roads, roundabouts, lakes, fields, cars, boats and tractors!!!
Here are my two Jeep quilts together! The pink one is approximately 5" wider and longer than the blue. Both have flannel backing and thicker cotton batting--Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Deluxe.
His and hers Jeep quilts!!! ⤴️⤵️
We took both quilts out on Monday for a little back road adventure and photo shoot. ⤵️ This spot was part of the backwaters of the Minnesota River near the old Harkin General Store, west of New Ulm, Minnesota.
Linda asked me in my first Jeep blog if I am into Jeep ducking--absolutely! Fellow Jeepers give or leave a duck on the Jeep doorknob or runner of another Jeep, just to put a smile on the other Jeepers face! This movement was started in 2020 as a way to uplift, encourage and bond with other Jeepers. I have received 6 so far, on my dashboard ⤴️ and I have a bag of them that I give out, when out and about!🐤

  2. Hey Nancy, your blue Jeep quilt is a win for me. I'm always attracted to the Koby pattern design AND monochromatic color quilts. and so I ask myself WHY have I only made 1 Koby quilt ???

  3. His and Hers Jeep quilts - how fun! Love the blues and the backing looks great with blues. Your quilting is beautiful. I know next to nothing about Jeeps and we saw a duck on one the other day and wondered about it.
