Four Panel Quilts

Here are 4 quilts made by Susan, all featuring her creative panels!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Susan
Size: 57" x 64"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Khaki
Pantograph: Mahogany ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting
Woodgrain quilting was the obvious choice for this quilt! ⤴️
Great rules, whether you're at the cabin or taking a staycation!!! ⤵️
Flannel backing makes for such a soft, snuggly quilt!⤵️
I quilted this same panel four years ago for Susan, blog post here. Here's a reminder photo of how she put that one together.⤵️ Susan chose "Mahogony" quilting the first time, also. She found her latest "Cabin Rules" panel at a thrift shop while on vacation in Arizona!!! Great find!!!
Quilt Info #2 and #3:
Maker: Susan
Size: 34" x 40"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Deluxe
Thread: Glide--Smoke
Pantograph: Skating ⤵️ from Lovely Threads
These are two identical quilt tops. In case you've wondered, yes, if you give me a long enough backing, I can quilt two quilts, one after the other, on it! ⤵️
I love flannel backing on quilts, as Susan used on these!⤵️
This is a Quilt Minnesota panel from 2024. ⤵️ If you grew up in Minnesota, chances are you played "Duck, Duck, Grey Duck" in kindergarten, as I did. Most other states call it "Duck, Duck, Goose". Evidently "Duck, Duck, Grey Duck" is a carry over from the Swedish translation.
Quilt Info #4:
Maker: Susan
Size: 69" x 58"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Lead Grey
Pantograph: Spindle ⤵️ from Urban Elementz
Cobweb quilting, called "Spindle".⤴️⤵️
"Enter at own Risk" ⤵️ I don't think I'd go in alone!!!
More flannel backing!⤵️ Susan pre-washes her flannel backings.
Finished quilt!!! ⤵️
Susan has used this panel before, and used the same layout. Here's a reminder of that version, where she chose "Malachite" for quilting.⤵️ Now she has a halloween quilt for each daughter!
Great inspiration, Susan!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  5. I didn't know about the Duck Duck variation, but evidently it is common enough to get its own quilt panel! LOL. Your quilting always enhances the designs. And what fun to find a panel she liked enough to make into a second quilt.

  6. Susan did a fabulous job. I think Cabin rules are good for any day in my book. I love the border she did on that. Never heard of Duck Duck Grey Duck....but didn't grow up in MN...learn something new everyday. And, the halloween border, too is a fabulous one. Love the pantographs, too, on each quilt - you really make them come to life!

  8. Susan made some very nice quilts. I have difficulty squaring up panels, she did well. And your quilting makes all of them exceptional.
