Purple is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for July. I'm using my scrap 2 1/2" strips to make baby-sized jelly roll "drag race" quilts! This month my scrap drawer held enough for one!
Size: 40" x 50"
Batting: Quilters Dream Cotton
Thread: Glide--Lilac
"Diamond Loops" is easier to see on the solid grey backing, a 60" wide fabric from IKEA.⤵️

Ooooo I LOVE the purples! I really love those jelly rolls quilts. And that panto is beautiful. Do you actually go to IKEA and shop, or do you order online?
ReplyDeleteWe have an IKEA 13 minutes from our home, so yes, I go in person every now and then. I put a limit of $19.99 max per item, so I don't get tempted by the more expensive duvet covers, which may go on sale at a later date anyway. This grey fabric is $9.99 for a 3 yard cut of 60" wide fabric, which is a great price for wider fabric.
DeleteWell you know purple is my favorite color and yet I don't sew with it often but I sure love to wear it. You find some great deals at IKEA!
ReplyDeleteyay for a finish already!!! I am impressed - its so pretty. I just pulled my purples out
ReplyDeleteand wow - what a great number you have finished so far!!
You balanced all the different purples nicely. Great score on the backing fabric.
ReplyDeleteA child is going to love this!
ReplyDeleteWow , Nancy! You have some amazing purples in your collection. This quilt is yummy. I am drawn to the fabric with the butterflies- too cute.
