Client Quilts

I have 2 client quilts to share today, and an update on Patty's Christmas tree quilt!!

John is a member of my church quilt group. His mom was a quilter and his 2 sisters are quilters. They told him quilting is in their blood, so he needs to start quilting. He took it to heart and has made a number of charity quilts for our group and is a lively member of our weekly meetings. His wife is a knitter and says she's going to keep in the knitting lane.

This Tula Pink quilt is for their niece who is expecting a baby boy! The quilting gives a swirly, "starry night" feeling.

John fussy cut the featured animals in these awesome Tula Pink prints. I especially love the leopard, with stars and hearts for spots! ⤵️

John put the polar bears in the four corners. ⤴️

Wolves. ⤴️ Seals. ⤴️ Puffins. ⤵️

This Tula Pink 108" backing fabric is a super soft sateen! ⤵️ And what a cool print!

Here's a photo taken by John after he added the snazzy lime green binding! ⤵️ Ready for gifting!!! 💝

Sally made this cat quilt for her cousin. She gathered cat prints from many sources, mainly online as she couldn't find any at the local quilt shops. With all the cute cat prints, we went with cat paws quilting! ⤴️⤵️

Sally's favorite quilt design to make is this large diamond shaped block. Her handy husband even made a plexiglass template with smoothed edges for her!

She used each print twice, if I counted correctly. Each print is cute as the dickens!

Sally found the perfect backing--kitties on flannel! 

Sally said she plans on binding this quilt in black. Sounds like the perfect frame for this cat-lover's quilt!

Now, if you read my blog on September 16th, you will recall that Patty and her friend, bought the same pattern last year on their camping trip meet up. They agreed to each make it their own and have them finished by this years' camping trip meet up, which was last week. Here they are with their twin quilts!!! 

Patty, on the left, made hers from a variety of sources--Lella Boutique, Riley Blake, Marcus Brothers, Henry Glass and Free Spirit Christmas prints. And Patty's friend, on the right, made hers from Tilda Christmas prints. How delightful to see them side by side!!! Very happy faces on these two quilt friends!!!

And yes, they picked out a pattern to work on for next year's camping meet-up, with the stipulation that they have to use fabrics in their collections!
