📤Out Of The Scraps Of My Life ⽣...

As a Christian and a quilter, I love the saying on my latest mini. It expresses so well what God, the master quilter, does for us:

Quilt Info:
Maker: Nancy of Grace and Peace Quilting
Pattern: A combination of Out of the Scraps of My Life by The Good Life, and I Love to Quilt by Kathleen McMusing
Size: 13" X 13"
Fabric: Osnaburg for the embroidery, D's Select from Japan for the sewing notions border print
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting Poly
Thread: Aurifil 50
Quilting: Crosshatching
Fun Fact: My sister bought a kit to make the original design. But she swapped out the fabrics for some of her own. I borrowed the saying and used Kathleen's design.

Here's the original kit:

My sister's version, swapping in Tula Pink fabrics:

Kathleen's pattern:

And my version:

Here's my border fabric, a Japanese sewing notions print:

The backing fabric, which has sewing notion people on it!⬇️

The little scissors charm I stitched in the lower right hand corner came from Mandi at Sewcial Stitch!

This is my 9th quilt on my 2020 Quilt Resolution list. Only 4 more to go until all quilt squirrels break loose in my studio!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  2. Oh, I am so honored! What a great saying and great women to be in the company of - you and your sister. I love what you did and I love that you did the cross hatch on it (did you use your longarm?). It was so fast when I did mine.
