🌾Meadowland🌾Number 6--Folk Friends

Meet my 6th Meadowland quilt!!!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Meadowland by Then Came June
Fabric: Folk Friends by Makower UK for Andover Fabrics
Size: 80" X 96"
Batting: Quilters Dream Wool
Thread: Glide--Creme
Quilting: Rolling Hills Echo from 627handworks
Interesting Info: My Mom had a difficult Autumn and has been on hospice. We moved her to a private care home. She turned 92 this month. Her 3-month hospice review is coming up and she's doing so well now that they're taking her off hospice! They'll be taking the hospice hospital bed back and we're ready to move her own twin bed in. In celebration, I made this colorful new quilt for her!
"Folk Friends" fabric line includes colorful, modern Scandinavian prints!
The quilting is called "Rolling Hills Echo":
As DH says, "I think I get the appeal of the Meadowland pattern--you can feature large prints and really enjoy the fabrics".⤴️⤵️
For backing I used an IKEA duvet cover that I bought on sale, pre-shut down. BTW, I wash and dry these IKEA duvet covers before I take them apart and use them as backing on quilts. The two pieces of fabric from this duvet cover measured 96" X 90" each. I used one full side, plus part of the second side:
I'm hoping this will add something colorful and cheerful to Mom's room!!!
Here it is on her bed. This is not her room though, this is in our daughter's former room. We'll be moving it shortly.
And since we've been talking shrinkage recently, this quilt shrunk 1 1/2" in width and 3 1/2" in length, after quilting. I haven't washed it and don't plan on it, so the size at this point is 78 1/2" X 92 1/2".

Grace and peace!!!! ~Nancy

I love Meadowland pattern so much. It is so appealing, and your DH is right. I have one in the flimsy stage ready to finish.
