Spools Wall Hanging

I made a new wall hanging for my studio!!!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Hyde Park from Tabletastic!
Fabric: The Print Shop by Sweetwater for Moda
Size: 34" X 34"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Putty
Quilting: Vintage Singer ⤵️ from My Creative Stitches
Interesting Info: I took this table runner pattern and reshaped it to fit the wall space in my studio. The table runner pattern is arranged 2 blocks by 4 blocks. I went square--3 blocks by 3 blocks.
I also reconfigured the "thread", which is random widths in the pattern. I wanted my threads to be a consistant thickness! I worked from a jelly roll and cut my "thread" strips half the width of a jelly roll, so I could get 2 "threads" per cut. ⤵️
Here's "The Print Shop" fabric line I used. Sweetwater always has such cute, modern prints!!! ⤵️ Now I'll have to figure out how to use the rest of the jelly roll!!!
For backing, I used this faux patchwork print from Japan!⤵️
Black binding, Japanese print hanging sleeve and my label!!! ⤵️
And here it is, hanging in my sewing studio!!! ⤵️ I'm going to be doing a virtual retreat over the next several days which was the motivator for updating my wall hanging!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. What a wonderful addition to your studio! I love that you adjusted it at least two ways to make it work - the strips and the the size. That Panto is so interesting...and going on my list - Pinterest board is my new idea to keep a visual reminder!

  12. Love the wall hanging. The fabrics blend so well with the colors of your decor. I'll be moving some things from room into the spare room so I don't feel so closed in and I have a couple wall hangings to add to my bare wall. Doubtful they will look as fab as your wall thought. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
