First of all, let me say, I'm not hoping for snow!!! But this cute fabric is called "Let It Snow"! I bought it last year, and determined to get it done for this winter season!!!
Quilt Info:
Maker: Me!!!
Fabrics: Let It Snow Flannel by Janet Rae Nesbitt of One Sister for Henry Glass
Pattern: Elvira 2 from Stripology Mixology 3 by GE Designs
Size: 86" x 91" (84" x 89" after quilting)
Batting: Quilters Dream Wool
Thread: Glide--Light Grey
Here are the prints in "Let It Snow"! I also included some flannel blenders in my quilt!⤵️
I pieced together a backing⤵️
Scandi Snowflake!!!⤵️I started out making a "Full" size, which finished as 76" x 102". It seemed long and narrow, so I took the bottom row off and moved the blocks to both sides, to finish at 86" x 91".
It's looking like we'll have rain this year on Christmas in Minnesota. Although you never know when the weather will trick us! The snow will come eventually. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family and friends this Christmas!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Isn't that fun?! I don't care about getting snow, either, but I do love that fabric. That's a neat quilt design and the quilting you chose for it is perfect, Nancy! Great finish!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say, Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou are good to go for when our Minnesota winter weather decides to drop in! Nothing better than a comfy flannel quilt! It's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteA great warm finish just in time for cuddling around the fire! I am totally fine with no snow yet!! Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be snuggled with your quilt and a good novel with a cup of tea, Nancy! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Nancy! I love the quilt. So cozy looking and really pretty fabric. Will it shrink a bit with washing? Or did you prewash the flannel. I love flannel for its soft cozy feeling but yikes, it can shrink. The quilt is a great one for winter time reading and a cup of hot chocolate!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome and perfect quilting motif for the quilt. I think it was really smart to move the rows around to get a more usable quilt size. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful quilt. Thanks for showing the quilting lines up close. It's always a treat to get a good view of the quilt as if we're touching it in person. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas to you.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Nancy! So appropriate for Minnesota, snow or not. Flannel is the perfect fabric for a wintertime quilt. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSuper cuddly and cozy, all you need now is some snow. Rainy here too in SouthWestern Ontario Canada.
ReplyDeleteLovely and cozy new quilt! Your quilting is showing so nicely!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! Merry Christmas :)
I love your wintery Elvira! Any quilt with flannel in it is a winner in my book. Reminds me that I still need to quilt mine from the quarantine quilt along!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, what a gorgeous quilt. I really love the Scandi snowflake panto. The wool and flannel sure does show the quilting. Congrats on a wonderful finish! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty one!!!
ReplyDeleteI might be getting close to ready for snow - but I am enjoying the snow free days this year ( Don't tell anyone I said that.... I am supposed to LOVE snow haha!!)
