🏵️Best of 2023🏵️

Quilters love quilt parties! Cheryl @ MeadowMistDesigns is having a year end quilt link party, her 9th year hosting the "Best 5" blog posts of the year!
Here are my best 5 favorite blog posts of the 2023, in chronological order:

1.  🎉 Milestone: Number 1,000 🎉  I quilted my 1,000th quilt on my longarm in April! Quilt number 1,000 was my Bonnie Hunter Chilhowie 2022 mystery quilt!!! For the backing, I followed a pattern from Kelly of My Quilt Infatuation's new book, Perfectly Pieced Quilt Backs!

2. 🚗Road Trip🚙  We took a 5,500 mile road trip in June through 12 states, 8 national parks/monuments, 5 quilts shops, while I sewed 4 quilt & hand sewing projects!!!

3. 🐮Fab Farm SAL Finish🐴 While we were on our road trip, our DD1 gave birth to our second grandchild! Wes arrived early but safely. 💝 I made this Fab Farm quilt for him, as part of a SAL with KathleenMcMusing hosting!!!

4. 🐶National Dog Day Quilt Party🐕 Our granddaughter, Laurel, loves Paw Patrol! As part of the National Dog Day quilt party hosted by Susan of QuiltFabricationI made her a Paw Patrol quilt!!!

5. What the Judge 👩🏼‍⚖️ Said, 2023  I entered 7 quilts and 1 crocheted item in our local county fair in August. I recorded the ribbons I was awarded and the judge's many comments, often surprising!
Thank you for stopping by my blog this year, reading, and leaving comments! I broke my left wrist on December 22nd. I will post my final quilt numbers for this year on December 31st, then will be recuperating for as long as it takes.

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  16. What a great year you had. I love all your favorites, but the Fab Farm with tiny Wesley...so special. I wish you a speedy recovery ... it is so hard having this happen. I found focusing on what feels good to get done, and the rest will happen in its own time.

  25. Grace, the national park photo looks like Bryce Canyon National Park. Is it? I am wondeeing if any of those parks you visited were in Utah. It is likely because we have 5 if then: Bryce, Zions, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands.

    1. Yes, I'm replying here since your email isn't attached--that photo was taken at Bryce Canyon NP. That was the only one in Utah we went to in 2023, but we have been to all 5 national parks in Utah. Utah is a treasure trove of beautiful parks!!!
