GEasy Table Runners🏃🏼‍♀️

After taking the class, "Master Your Stripology Ruler" at the GE Studio in October, Quilter Bonnie and I decided to make table runners from the book, to help us review and remember what we learned in class!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Me!
Pattern: Trinket from Master Your Stripology Ruler by Gudrun Erla
Fabrics: Starry by Alexia Marcelle Abegg for Ruby Star Society
Size: 13" x 53"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide 60--Baby Blue
Pantograph: QOV Stars ⤵️ from Anita Shackelford
I love this panto--it automatically quilted back and forth for me!!! And it fits the style of the fabrics perfectly--stars on stars!
This pattern is all about cutting 60 degree triangles with your Stripology Ruler--magic!!! Having the GE Point Trimmers makes lining up seams waaaaay easier, too!!!
Interesting Info: I won these Starry prints from Michelle over at From Bolt To Beauty!!! The bundle included 8 FQs. I used some of them in my granddaughter's Paw Patrol quilt! ⤵️ Read all about it here!
I cut the rest of the bundle into 60 degree triangles, using my Stripology XL ruler, for this table runner!!!
Tiny stars on the binding, too!!!⤴️

Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Quilter Bonnie
Pattern: Wiggle Room from Master Your Stripology Ruler by Gudrun Erla
Fabrics: Birdsong by Gingiber for Moda
Size: 16" x 41"
Batting: Polyester
Thread: Glide--Linen
Pantograph: Abundance ⤵️ from Sew Shabby Quilting
Boho style quilting with the Abundance pantograph!!!⤴️⤵️
Bonnie made this runner from charm squares, doing the cutting with the Stripology Ruler, as per the pattern in the book. Each of the 6 patterns in the book have QR codes, so you can pull up a video tutorial from Gudrun on your smart phone!
Quilt Info:
Maker: Me!
Pattern: Trinket from Master Your Stripology Ruler by Gudrun Erla
Fabrics: Starlet from Blank Fabrics
Size: 13" x 53"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Light Turquoise
Pantograph: QOV Stars ⤵️ from Anita Shackelford
Like my first Trinket table runner, these fabrics all have stars on them. I loved QOV Stars pantograph so much on my first Trinket table runner that I couldn't resist using it again!
Interesting Info: Sandi, my co-worker at the local quilt shop, gave each of us a bundle of fabric. She gave me this bundle that had 5 FQs!
Backing and binding⤵️
This shape can be tricky to cut, and tricky to stitch, but Master Your Stripology Ruler makes it easy!!!
Master Your Stripology Ruler contains 6 different patterns, with charts and details on cutting many shapes using your Stripology Ruler. It's spiral bound and made of thick paper for durability.
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. What lovely runners! It's so fun to see you enjoy GE designs and rulers - and you really put them to work! I love the star runners, and the star quilting design!

  2. You got a lot out of the star print and a perfect panto - QOV stars! I was confused at first by the backing and thinking you were cutting out those shapes, and then I read it a second time and it all made sense. Oh, and the tiny stars on the binding are so perfect. Love Bonnie’s version of Wiggle Room with the fabric the nearly looks Christmassy but maybe really isn’t. Of course, Abundance, is a wonderful panto on these fabrics. And fun that you made another trinket with the leftovers - I hardly ever make a second but I think you must have liked the pattern!

  3. Those are really pretty, Nancy! That ruler really seems to make those shapes easy to cut precisely. I love your quilting design, too, with the wavy lines and stars. Looks like you and Quilter Bonnie had fun with this project!

  10. These are great table runners. Very smart to spend time practicing what you have done in a workshop. They are quite striking.

  11. I had to look up the ruler to see what it is. I have a June Taylor Shape Cut ruler that I think is similar. I love using it to cut strips.

  12. What wonderful projects! Your colors are great and the pantograph of QOV is perfect to go with it. And what a great idea to keep practicing the use of the ruler. You certainly won't forget how to utilize it in the future.
