Lucy & Dina❖Quilts

My Quiltin' Cousin Sue has been busy making some GE Designs quilts!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Sue
Size: 76" x 76"
Pattern: Lucy by GE Designs
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Pink
Pantograph: Cupid ⤵️ from Urban Elementz
Interesting Info: This pattern is named Lucy, and Sue's Mom, my aunt's name was Lucy, and that makes it special to Sue! She made it in her Mom's favorite colors, and we decided to quilt it with hearts!
The Lucy pattern is part of a 2-pattern class pack from GE Designs, including the patterns Lucy and Velocity, plus 7 teaching videos!!!
Sue used a navy Grunge for her background! This is a layer cake friendly quilt, or cut your own 10" squares from your collection, using the Stripology Ruler, as Sue did!
Sue pieced together 5 different batiks for her backing.⤵️
You may be surprised to see my Lucy quilt, here, as I used a different layout and it looks like a totally different pattern!
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Sue
Size: 56" x 76"
Fabrics: Tulip Tango
Pattern: Dina by GE Designs
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Pink
Pantograph: Fleur Drive ⤵️ from Longarm League
Dina was a "Quickie Quilt Along" with GE Designs, held on February 13 this year. You can still buy the pattern and watch the teaching video, more info here.
Sue made a throw size. The pattern includes 6 sizes, from crib to king, and is a great way to let your fabrics shine!!!
Sue used this beautiful group of fabrics, Tulip Tango by Robin Pickens!!!
Backing!!!⤵️
You can see my Dina here. There will be more Dina's coming up soon on my blog, too!
Great job, Sue!!! Beautiful GE quilts!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. I love the Lucy quilt and the navy is so perfect against the gorgeous pinks. That heart motif is perfect for this quilt. I am enjoying seeing the various versions of Dina too. I love the colors in this one...don't make a lot of pink quilts so it is always fun to see them!

  9. Two beautiful quilts. Love the choice of fabric with the navy and the pink. What a showstopper. The Dina quilt is beautiful too, it's a good way to feature some special fabric.

  11. What a lovely pink quilt, in honor of Lucy! Fun story about it! The heart quilting pattern is the perfect choice of course ;) I love your bold and colorful version too!
    Tulips are cute for Dina!

  13. Beautiful quilts and I love how the Pink Glide thread looks against that navy Grunge background fabric. In a couple of your photos, that fabric almost mimics denim -- is that what it looks like in real life? Beautiful job, from both of you!
