My Quiltin' Cousin Sue has been busy making some GE Designs quilts!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Sue
Size: 76" x 76"
Pattern: Lucy by GE Designs

The Lucy pattern is part of a 2-pattern class pack from GE Designs, including the patterns Lucy and Velocity, plus 7 teaching videos!!!
Sue used a navy Grunge for her background! This is a layer cake friendly quilt, or cut your own 10" squares from your collection, using the Stripology Ruler, as Sue did!
Sue pieced together 5 different batiks for her backing.⤵️
You may be surprised to see my Lucy quilt, here, as I used a different layout and it looks like a totally different pattern!

I love the Lucy quilt and the navy is so perfect against the gorgeous pinks. That heart motif is perfect for this quilt. I am enjoying seeing the various versions of Dina too. I love the colors in this one...don't make a lot of pink quilts so it is always fun to see them!
ReplyDeleteBoth the quilts and the quilting are great! I love the GEDesigns but for some reason (?) I haven't made one yet. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely quilts! The fabric choices (especially that Navy grunge) and the quilting really make them special. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss. https://www.inquiringquilter.com/questions/2024/03/27/wednesday-wait-loss-373
ReplyDeleteI love the heart and swirl quilting on Lucy. Good job ladies!
ReplyDeleteThose are both beauties, Nancy! I love the colors in each, and your beautiful quilting, too. Well done, Cousin Sue!
ReplyDeleteSuch a bold and bright finish. This one needs an Alert - Requires Sunglasses :-D I love the citrusy and peachy vibes in Dina too.
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are lovely, and of course your quilting is perfect! Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
ReplyDeleteSue's quilts are so pretty - love the Lucy quilt with all that bright color against the Navy Grunge. Your quilting enhances the quilts beautifully!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful quilts. Love the choice of fabric with the navy and the pink. What a showstopper. The Dina quilt is beautiful too, it's a good way to feature some special fabric.
ReplyDeleteLovely finish on both of the quilts. I like the fabrics in both. The blue grunge works extremely well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely pink quilt, in honor of Lucy! Fun story about it! The heart quilting pattern is the perfect choice of course ;) I love your bold and colorful version too!
ReplyDeleteTulips are cute for Dina!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
Both are just stunning, but the first one is awe inspiring.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts and I love how the Pink Glide thread looks against that navy Grunge background fabric. In a couple of your photos, that fabric almost mimics denim -- is that what it looks like in real life? Beautiful job, from both of you!
