I made quilts out of two free fat quarter bundles I received from the Quilt Minnesota shop hop!
Pattern: Spring Impressions from Doug Leko
Fabrics: Country Poetry from P & B Textiles
Size: 48" x 64"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Pink
"Honey Honey" quilting fits the mood of these fun, happy fabrics!
This bundle of 8 FQs was an incentive gift for visiting all 4 stores in the Southeast section of the Quilt Minnesota shop hop this year. I wasn't able to go myself, but my sister and family went and shared one of their bundles with me!
This pattern calls for 12 FQs, so I picked 4 more out of my collection and was good to go! It is a fast, fun quilt pattern with a random look. The blocks finish at 16".
Some Tula Pink striped binding always makes a great finish! ⤵️

This backing ⤵️ is part of an IKEA duvet cover, "Vitaminer Hjärta", on clearance for $15.99 at our IKEA in Minneapolis. Always check the fiber content on the IKEA duvet covers. This one is 100% cotton--the best! And at a great price, too!
Both of these quilts are going to Royal Kids Camp for foster children. We are making them now for camp next summer. Each child gets to take their quilt home with them and keep it. If they come back to camp the following year, they bring their quilt back with them.
My Quilt Info #2:
Pattern: Spring Impressions from Doug Leko
Fabrics: Forest Chatter by Maywood Studio
Size: 48" x 64"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Thyme
This was an 8 piece FQ pack that I received from the Southeast section of the Quilt Minnesota shop hop in 2024, and recently rediscovered! I thought I'd make a second "Spring Impressions" quilt out of it, while it was fresh in my mind.
Once more I added 4 additional FQs from my collection to round it up to 12 FQs--no problem!
I used another IKEA duvet cover for the backing, "Barndröm"--currently $19.99 at our local IKEA. It should be enough fabric to back 3 quilts. I think these drawings are so child-like and charming!!! ⤵️ This duvet cover is 80% cotton/20% viscose--I'm good with that fiber combo, too.
Another quilt for Royal Kids Camp! These two were fun "bonus" quilts to make--bonus because most of the FQs were free gifts!
Thanks for stopping by!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
