Babies, Bears and Birds

Three inspiring quilts!!! And a cute video!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Missy
Pattern: Zoe by Laundry Basket Quilts
Size: 41" x 47"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Cream
Pantograph: Sakura Season 1 ⤵️ from Totally Quilted
"Sakura Season 1" is a sweet quilting design for a baby girl quilt! ⤴️⤵️
Missy reports that this baby quilt is made with 15 fat quarters.
A Laundry Basket Quilts print for the backing, too! ⤵️
The pattern includes an optional scalloped edge. Missy said she's still deciding if she's going to do a scalloped edge or not. She handled it correctly--scalloping comes after quilting. It's easier to quilt a rectangle than all those scalloped edges.
Watch Edyta Sitar with her newborn granddaughter, plus this same quilt, in this adorable short (24 seconds) video titled "How to Ensure the Baby Uses the Quilt You Made"! 💗
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Bonnie
Pattern: Felicity by Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 41" x 47"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Linen
Pantograph: Bruno ⤵️ from Totally Quilted
Check out this cute new teddy bear quilting design! ⤴️⤵️
And these super cute teddy bear prints!!!⤵️
Bonnie picked up one of these IKEA bear duvet covers on clearance. You may have seen that I've used this one, too. Perfect backing for a teddy bear quilt!
Sweet baby quilt! Bonnie made this for her friend's due-soon grandchild. 💝
Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Bonnie
Pattern: Traveling Table Topper from Rayche Gurl Designs of The Noble Quilter
Size: 19" x 38"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Azure
Pantograph: Sparkle and Spin ⤵️ from Totally Quilted
Bonnie made this table runner from an assortment of free charms she and her family collected while doing the Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop in August. Each shop gives out one charm square of the shop hop fabric for that year to each shop hop passport holder.
There are female cardinals on some of these charms squares, in case you were wondering where the "Birds" in title of this blog post comes from! You can see one in the block above, top center. ⤴️ I'm not sure why they didn't use male cardinals, which would've been a lot easier to see!
She and her family members were able to collect quite a variety! This year was a winter themed fabric line. This table runner will be a fun momento and spark memories in the winter ahead!!!
Super fun quilts, Quilters!!!

  1. Missy's quilt is gorgeous - it always amazes me the colors/fabrics others put together and they look so good! Love the browns and bears on Bonnies' quilt, and that bear quilting pattern is just too cute. That's a beautiful runner with a pretty amazing collection of charms!

  3. Such pretty quilts to see! I love the mellow colors of Missy's baby quilt, and your teddy bear quilt design on the second quilt. Female cardinals definitely don't stand out like males, but they're still beautiful!
