Three inspiring quilts!!! And a cute video!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Pattern: Zoe by Laundry Basket Quilts
Size: 41" x 47"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Cream
Missy reports that this baby quilt is made with 15 fat quarters.
A Laundry Basket Quilts print for the backing, too! ⤵️
The pattern includes an optional scalloped edge. Missy said she's still deciding if she's going to do a scalloped edge or not. She handled it correctly--scalloping comes after quilting. It's easier to quilt a rectangle than all those scalloped edges.
Watch Edyta Sitar with her newborn granddaughter, plus this same quilt, in this adorable short (24 seconds) video titled "How to Ensure the Baby Uses the Quilt You Made"! 💗
Quilt Info #2:

Fabrics: Cozy Cubs by Bernadette Urbanovics for Figo Fabrics
Pattern: Felicity by Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 41" x 47"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Linen
And these super cute teddy bear prints!!!⤵️
Bonnie picked up one of these IKEA bear duvet covers on clearance. You may have seen that I've used this one, too. Perfect backing for a teddy bear quilt!
Sweet baby quilt! Bonnie made this for her friend's due-soon grandchild. 💝
Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Bonnie
Pattern: Traveling Table Topper from Rayche Gurl Designs of The Noble Quilter
Size: 19" x 38"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Azure
There are female cardinals on some of these charms squares, in case you were wondering where the "Birds" in title of this blog post comes from! You can see one in the block above, top center. ⤴️ I'm not sure why they didn't use male cardinals, which would've been a lot easier to see!
She and her family members were able to collect quite a variety! This year was a winter themed fabric line. This table runner will be a fun momento and spark memories in the winter ahead!!!
Super fun quilts, Quilters!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Missy's quilt is gorgeous - it always amazes me the colors/fabrics others put together and they look so good! Love the browns and bears on Bonnies' quilt, and that bear quilting pattern is just too cute. That's a beautiful runner with a pretty amazing collection of charms!
ReplyDeleteAll great quilty projects, love Missy's trip around quilt. And the backing of Bonnies is a fun one!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty quilts to see! I love the mellow colors of Missy's baby quilt, and your teddy bear quilt design on the second quilt. Female cardinals definitely don't stand out like males, but they're still beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like that first quilt you show I always like that design and the colors chosen are pretty
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty quilts, but that Laundry Basket baby quilt is a standout! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I always enjoy seeing the lovely quilts you work on! The designs you choose perfectly complement the patchwork.
ReplyDeleteI am so inspired by these quilts, simple patterns that really highlight the fabrics and inspire make me to sew. The teddy bear quilting is so cute! And that backing! 😊Bonnie’s table runner is really pretty! It makes me think of Christmas and the winter months. The swirls make it sing.
ReplyDeleteI love Missy’s quilt and your quilting is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the pretty quilts. I really like the table runner—it’s a fun one to make, and it uses up some of the charm squares we all seem to have in our stash! I thought the female cardinal print was interesting. You typically see fabrics with the males, but not the females.
ReplyDeleteThree pretty finishes! You always know the best quilting design to use to make the quilts shine!
ReplyDeleteYour customers bring you such adorable quilts, and you always find the perfect stitching for them. Of course those bear paw prints are so cute on that one.
ReplyDeleteI bet you had a wonderful time quilting these beauties, Nancy. I am sure you oohed an aahed over the fabrics. I know I certainly am just from viewing them from afar. Missy's and Bonnie's quilts are just fabulous and you always make them extra special with you beautiful quilting.
ReplyDeleteI love Missy's sweet quilt and the Sakura quilting pattern is perfect, it adds just the right touch of softness and floral freshness. Bonnie and you did a very great job too with these lovely quilt and table runner. The Bruno bear is adorable, I love the sweet brown prints and the backing! Thank you for sharing and linking up!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting truly makes the quilt and you did it again three times! All are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese quilts are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteMissy and Bonnie did a great job on their quilts/tablerunner. The video was fun too, to see how to encourage a quilt gets used! I love the sakura and bear pantos...perfect for each quilt. Sparkle and Spin is also a great quilting pattern; it would be hard for me to choose one from this fun selection of quilting designs.
ReplyDeleteAnother great group of quilts. I keep telling myself to check Ikea's duvet covers but I never remember. One of these days I will. I always enjoy seeing your quilting and quilts.
ReplyDeleteOh, those bears! And the TATW! The prints in all of these quilts are delicious.
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderul job quilting all the quilts! I like the trip around the world quilt especially.
ReplyDeleteThese are so great and colorful!!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that baby quilt!!! It is going on my list of things to make.
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of quilts. I always enjoy seeing the different designs, but I am also intrigued by the different backings, and this time is no exception.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy the different quilting designs and this time the teddy bear one is a lot of fun.
