🍁 Autumn 🍂 Abundance 🍁

Maker: Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting
Pattern: Autumn Abundance by Primrose Cottage
Size: 14" X 26"
Thread: Glide 60--Mocha
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Quilting: Ground Cover by Barbara Becker
Interesting Info: This is the free monthly pattern from Primrose Cottage for September, minus one pumpkin. I made mine this size to hang outside my Mom's door at her senior apartment.

Sign up for the Primrose Cottage newsletter and get a free table runner or wall hanging quilt pattern the first Friday of every month. After the newsletter goes out the pattern goes up for sale on the Primrose Cottage Etsy site. This pattern can now be purchased here.
This quilting is called Ground Cover. I made it dense, as this is a smallish wall hanging:
For backing and binding, I used an autumn moon Japanese print, another piece from the 200 yen bin at Yuzawaya in Tokyo:
And here it is hanging at my Mom's door, along with a plaque and three bird woodcarvings my Dad made:
Grace & peace!!! ~Nancy

  20. What a lovely wall hanging! A lesson, that we don’t always have to follow a pattern exactly! We can make it ours! I like the pumpkin and star. So often we see pumpkins and maple leaf blocks. Your mom’s entry is very inviting! I’m sure she loves the added decorations you make for her.
