🌀Spin Cycle🌀

I finished another baby quilt for Jack's Basket!!!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Spin Cycle by Gudrun Erla, from the book Scrap School
Size: 42" X 42"
Batting: Quilters Dream Cotton, Request
Thread: Glide--Cream
Quilting: Dizzy Izzy from Urban Elementz
Interesting Info: Scrap School is a new quilt book that features 10 designers and 12 scrap quilts! I was totally inspired by Gudrun's version, using text prints and navy accent. The only change I made was to downsized the pattern and make it baby size.

I won these "text fabrics" from my small group's lotto, sixteen fat quarters in all, which were perfect for the background:
As this quilt pattern is called "Spin Cycle", I went with a spinning quilt design, "Dizzy Izzy"⤴️⤵️
I used some fabric from my collection for the backing⤵️
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. Love this - the fun background, the spin cycle quilting and the paula nadelstern fabric in the background. I have some red/gold of the blue fabric - was our living room curtains for a long time!

  9. Nice! I was surprised it was 42 x 42. I had it in my head that it would be much larger. I love tiny piecing. :)

  14. This pattern is fabulous! I love how those black squares appear to just float in a background, without visible block boundaries. I had to zoom in on the photo to look for the piecing lines. Are there other patterns in this book that I might like? Love your panto choice, too -- I thought it was Raindrops On Water at first. Thanks for linking up with TGIFF!
