Our friend, Lynn, is a super gardener. So it makes sense that her favorite fabrics to use in quilting are florals!!!
Quilt Info:
Size: 61" X 97"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select
Thread: Glide--Cotton Candy
Quilting: Fun Flowers from DastardlyLine
"Fun Flowers" so aptly describes this quilting design!!!
Interesting Info: When the world shut down in March, 2020, Lynn ordered a sewing machine online and started to sew. She made 1,000+ masks for Lutheran World Relief. Then Lutheran World Relief switched to asking for quilts. Lynn sewed 120+ quilt tops. Being a new quilter and isolated, she didn't know how to finish them, but she has friends! She turned her quilt tops over to them and they tied and finished them at church for Lutheran World Relief.
Now that it's gardening season, Lynn is busy growing her beautiful gardens and helping others with theirs, including us! She did get this one quilt top made as a gift for her friend's graduation!
Fun Flowers from the back⤵️
Here are the three fabrics Lynn used in this gift quilt.⤵️ Fuchsia is definitely a favorite of hers, as is strippy quilts. Lynn had me quilt and bind this for her. We chose this colorful, fun Kaffe Fassett stripe for the binding!!!⤵️
A wonderful, cuddly flower garden of a quilt, Lynn!!! Your friend will love it!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
