Michelle is on a mission to make a pile of quilts for her grandchildren to pick from when they come to visit her!!! Here's her latest finish:
Quilt Info:
Size: 56" X 68"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select
Thread: Glide--Lemon Ice
Quilting: Bangkok ⤵️ from Urban Elementz
Bangkok ⤴️⤵️ is a fun, modern quilting motif!!!Interesting Info: Michelle made this from a cat-themed layer cake!!! It has so many fun motifs on it--cats (of course!!), yarn, fish bones, milk bottles, etc.
For backing she used this fun yellow blender, plus pieced in a few left over fabrics:⤵️
A wonderful, grandchild-friendly quilt, Michelle!!!

I love the "pile of quilts to pick from" idea! One of my vintage clients a year or two ago shared memories like that of visits to her grandma's house as a child. Most of her grandma's quilts had long since been loved and worn to pieces and discarded by the time she passed, but the memories lived on.
