Michelle is on a mission to make a pile of quilts for her grandchildren to pick from when they come to visit her!!! Here's her latest finish:
Quilt Info:
Maker: Michelle
Size: 56" X 68"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select
Thread: Glide--Lemon Ice
Quilting: Bangkok ⤵️ from Urban Elementz
Bangkok ⤴️⤵️ is a fun, modern quilting motif!!!
Interesting Info: Michelle made this from a cat-themed layer cake!!! It has so many fun motifs on it--cats (of course!!), yarn, fish bones, milk bottles, etc.
For backing she used this fun yellow blender, plus pieced in a few left over fabrics:⤵️
A wonderful, grandchild-friendly quilt, Michelle!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. I love the "pile of quilts to pick from" idea! One of my vintage clients a year or two ago shared memories like that of visits to her grandma's house as a child. Most of her grandma's quilts had long since been loved and worn to pieces and discarded by the time she passed, but the memories lived on.

  2. That's a pretty one! Lucky grandkids at her house!

  3. I love the quilting pattern you choose for Michelle's quilt! Such a fun pattern!
Thank you for linking up to TGIFF!

  4. I always wondered what Bangkok would look like stitched out. Love the quilt and the idea behind it.

  5. The pile of quilts idea is so good! What fun! I'd take the Starry Cats quilt - it's so fun!

  6. That's a lovely finish. I do like the idea of having a pile of quilts so that the grandies can choose. How special is that!

  9. That is such a fun idea - a pile of quilts for grandchildren to pick from! The fabric choices are fun. Your quilting brings the quilt to life!
