Missy made this quilt from leftover bits of the "Sweet Ride" collection, by Laundry Basket Quilts, a very "baby boy" fabric line, with lots of cars and zoom!

You always choose such nice designs for quilting the quilts. I love the feathers but the other designs look lovely on their quilts also. I understand about great nieces and nephews, soon it will be time for me to start making baby quilts for mine also! Happy quilting!
ReplyDeleteKaren's Carpenter Stars are both similar but each beautiful in its own way. Missy placed the ginghams in a way that made me think the fabric was polka dot! So pretty. Your quilting looks stunning - lucky ladies to have you as their quilter. :)

ReplyDeleteThe Carpenter's Star is very striking and such a nice bonus to use up leftover fabrics. I like that you quilted in white/light thread so the design shows through on the prints. The baby quilts are darling, too.

ReplyDeleteI can see why Karen was tempted by that border fabric. Loved how she incorporated it into her Carpenter Star's block. I'm a big feathers fan, so really appreciate the pantograph she chose and you quilted so beautifully, as well.

ReplyDeleteVery nice quilts! I am always a fan of gingham, so that one is my favorite although they are all winners! I am glad to see the Glide linen quilted out on each. It blends very well.
ReplyDeleteThe second Carpenter's star sure has a lot of depth and Missy's baby quilt fabrics sure made up into sweet baby quilts! Your quilting adds just the right touch to the pattern and fabric every time! You are so masterful with your quilting!

The pinwheels look great with the combination of florals and ginghams. They work so well.
The nine patches in the second baby quilt sit so well on the background.
The quilts for the baby cousins are delightful.
I enjoy seeing what you've quilted (or pieced) each week. Baby Blue Eyes is a wonderful design. I try not to use it every time I quilt! I like the other two but keep telling myself I have enough designs. (Hum, so why do I have several tagged to buy??) Have a great week. What are you sewing these days?

ReplyDeleteLove Karen's carpenter star, and seeing the first one, too. The quilting looks like it was made for that quilt. Missy's cousins quilts are great fun, just perfect for the wee ones. Love both of the quilting patterns on them, too. Going to check out amblin vines, a new name to me (you have probably used it before and I missed it).
