Quilt Info:
Pattern: BQ variation by Maple Island Quilts
Size: 64" X 82"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Medium Brown
Quilting: Malachite from Urban Elementz
Interesting Info: Susan made this for her son's birthday. "Blanton's" is machine embroidered on half of the blocks. I had to search online to find out what that means--it's a bourbon that comes in a brown flannel bag. Susan said not a single drop was drunk in the making of this quilt--all the bags were bought on e-bay!
Susan used this nifty bias printed plaid flannel from Joann's for the back ⤵️Happy birthday!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

What an interesting way to use the bags. Looks like a great quilt.
ReplyDeleteI've seen quilts like this using Crown Royale bags. I've never heard of this one. Pretty quilt layout, and I like your quilting too!
ReplyDeleteMalachite looks fabulous on this quilt. Excellent choice! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYup, I have seen the crown Royale bags quilts, too. I have not heard of Blanton's but Sue did a fabulous job with it. Love the plaid and the malachite is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this graphic pattern, so striking and beautiful! The quilting almost disappears and really complements it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of Malachite -- I have it too but haven't used it much. Sue did a great job with the choice of quilt pattern. Neat backing for this quilt. I'm curious how big your long arm is? How big did you run Malachite?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery cool quilting design, Nancy! I'm sure that Blanton will love this quilt from his Mom. Brown quilts are SEW very cozy!
