Interesting Info: I've had this pattern and have been wanting to make it for awhile. So I put it on my 2021 Resolution Quilts list. The pink version went together so fast, I decided to make another in baby boy colors! This one also went to Jack's Basket!
I used 40 charm squares in this version, and 36 charm squares in the pink version. The backing is butterflies: ⤵️
Here are all 6 quilt of my quilts that I brought in to Jack's Basket this week: ⤵️
And here is my niece, Gretchen, with 50 baby hats she knit for Jack's Basket: ⤵️Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
Both baby quilts are wonderful! The Baby's Breath quilting is absolutely beautiful. I love everything about both quilts. Even the backing fabrics are perfect. The families who receive these quilts through Jack's Basket will be blessed by them. Thank you for doing this.

I like those offset blocks in the baby quilts and the quilting is so pretty. Kudos to your niece for making all those hats. Quite an accomplishment@
ReplyDeleteWhat an attractive quilt that pattern makes! Love the quilting, especially the baby's breath.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful quilts for such a worthy cause, great job!!
ReplyDeleteThose are fun baby quilts and a fun pattern - obviously - if you had to make a second one right away. Gretchen did an awesome job with all those hats. I am sure Jack's Basket is always pleased to see you and Gretchen walk in the door.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made these (love that bubblegum pink) and got them to JB before the snowstorm we're having. Gretchen is amazing, and I'm sure her hats were a hit!
ReplyDeleteI love the pairing of a super simple design with more elaborate quilting. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful quilts! I love the quilting on both, but the baby's breath quilting is gorgeous. And the baby hats made by your niece.... perfect. The families who receive your gifts will be blessed. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty finishes! I love that Baby's Breath quilting motif--it really does look like hand drawn flowers!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! this is my favorite post I have read today!! those quilts are so sweet - and so pretty!!! they will truly be loved!! and your nieces baby hats - those are adorable. But you have to tell Gretchen I am a little jealous... I keep trying to learn to knit and I get knots - she has it perfected!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt pattern! I see a couple Strip Off quilts in there, which I’ve also made. I do mine for the Christ Child Society. I just ordered the pattern for Building Blocks.
ReplyDeleteNancy those quilts are perfect! I love that baby's breath quilting. Gretchen's basket of hats is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose are some simple quilts to make but sure make a nice impact when finished. I have never heard of this pattern designer before, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWOW -- Look at all of those hats Gretchen made! That is so awesome, and I love that smile on her face, too. Your charm square quilts look great, too, and that is another pattern I need to tuck away in the back of my brain. I have quite a few charm packs tucked away in corners of my studio that could be put to good use that way!
ReplyDeleteI have a baby quilt that needs to be made for a great nephew in Minnesota! That pattern would be perfect! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts.
ReplyDeleteGretchen's Gang strikes again!! You provided a lovely collection of quilts, Nancy. :o))
ReplyDeleteWell done on those special quilts and to your niece on her contribution.
ReplyDeleteWhat special quilts for a great cause! The quilting on those quilts are lovely! The hats your niece knitted are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely donation quilts as always. And I enjoy seeing how many hats Gretchen has managed to knit to donate. Fantastic effort.
ReplyDeleteSo much love for the babies, thank you for sharing your finishes with TGIFF. It reminds me that a pretty quilt doesn't need to be hard to make.
