Squirrel project alert! I made a table runner!!!
Pattern: Dandy Candy by Pieced Tree Patterns
Fabrics: Pinkerville by Tula Pink
Size: 12" X 37"
Thread: Glide--Mint
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20 White
Quilting: Figure 8 Panto from Intelligent Quilting
Interesting Info: I had totally forgotten I had this fabric, until I recently ran across it in a hidden project box! I cut out a throw size quilt and then I made this table runner from some of the leftover charm squares. My Quiltin' Cousin Sue, gave me this pattern for Christmas, along with some fabrics to make a runner. Look for another table runner in the future!
For backing, I used a fabric called "Giggles", from the 200 yen bin at Yuzawaya! ⤵️Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

So pretty!! Fun little project to squeeze between the others. Love seeing the snow - we are having weirdly warm weather and it doesn't feel like January.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous table runner! I LOVE the choice of Mint for the quilting thread, too. I know you mentioned this was a charm square pattern, but I'm saving the idea for a possible way to use up the overly-abundant leftover strips from my pineapple log cabin bed quilt. Maybe I could make a long runner for my dresser or something?
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy and bright runner. Love the backing fabric.
ReplyDeleteLovely way to use the leftover charms. I think it looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteHoooooo, pretty!! I love the fabrics, and the quilting loops are great! Good idea to use a blue-mint thread, it shows nicely yet stay discret. Beautiful runner!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing ;)
I'll bet that looks lovely on your table, Nancy! Perfect for the overcast days we've been having, and how fun to discover those fabrics and then just whip something up!
ReplyDeleteThat really brightens up the snow. Gorgeous fabrics and background, and that backing is perfect! I've never heard of the yen bin at Yuzawaya - lol!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Linda, that's a bargain bin at the mega fabric store, Yuzawaya, in Tokyo, Japan!
Deletesew pretty
ReplyDeleteNice work! And great cheerful fabric, with a cute pattern. What a good idea for leftovers!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to find a hidden project that you have long forgotten about! Your runner will brighten the day, any time of year! And I like the large and small quilting pattern. Fun, fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is one fun runner! I love the thread and quilting you choose, too. I love it when a happy quick project comes together. I love having little things to put out that make me happy.
ReplyDeleteThat runner looks like a good one for spring.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I love the happy fabric, including the backing!
ReplyDeleteDarling table runner, Nancy, with some really cute quilting!!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I like the panto too!
ReplyDeleteYuzabaya? You are just making up words so that no one else can find that pretty fabric :-D The runner is bright and cheerful. Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrific runner and I am sooo tempted to DrEAMi! I have to tame my strings this year, and have two RSC projects that use them, but you know how it goes with using up scraps...they never seem to go down!
