🌱Grassy Creek💦

This is Lisa's third quilt, of which two, including this one, have been Bonnie Hunter mystery quilts!!!

Quilt Info:
Maker: Lisa
Pattern: Grassy Creek--Bonnie Hunter's 2020 mystery quilt
Size:66" X 81"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Nickel
Quilting Design: Swivel Circle 2 by Karlee Porter, from Intelligent Quilting

Interesting Info: Lisa used the same colors as Bonnie Hunter. But, Lisa did changed the border so it has more of a variegated look--light greys on the inside and dark greys on the outside. She said she was inspired by another Grassy Creek quilt she saw online. All of Lisa's colors are so vibrant!!!
Lisa's bright colors gave this quilt a more modern feel, so I quilted it with a modern quilting design, Swivel Circles 2. Also, she said it's for her husband, so that influenced the quilting design as well.
Lisa chose this plainer, more masculine backing with her husband in mind: ⤵️
Such a fun, beautiful quilt, Lisa!!! Bonnie Hunter quilts have so many pieces that they can easily turn into UFOs, so great job finishing!!! Keep on quilting!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  14. Mine is in assembly mode now...but I've decided against string-pieced borders because it's already so "busy". Still, I love how that one has come together. Bonnie's vision for her designs continues to amaze me!
